Important
tournament information!
All our tournament games will
be played at the Gemini
Elementary fields. Here are directions
from the Courtyard Marriott to the fields. Our game schedule is
on our schedule page.
First game is
11am on Saturday. Go Heat!!!
August 29th
The Heat closed the pre-season with a convincing 4-1 win over Maitland
U13 premier. The glimpses of strong possession and defensive play
that we'd seen in our first two scrimmages materialized today for the
full 60 minutes. The 1st half saw Meagan open the scoring,
followed by Reagan (her 2nd this season) converting a rebound on a PK
for
a 2-1 halftime lead.. In the 2nd half, Megan converted a
beautiful one-touch, left foot finish off a cross from Meagan to put
the game out reach. Allison then put away the clincher on a
breakaway, after another stellar performance in goal for the first 40
minutes. Allison, Kait, and Natalie earned captains bands
for our first tournament game next weekend.
AWESOME GAME
GIRLS!!!
August 28th
On Saturday, we faced the tough Seminole team. After playing to a
scoreless tie in the 1st half, where we failed to convert two very good
scoring chances, Seminole converted three 2nd half break-aways for
goals and took the win. Kristen, Meagan and Taylor earned the
captains
bands for the next game with their inspiring play. Allison also
had a
very solid game in goal, shutting out Seminole in the 1st half.
And, HAPPY
BIRTHDAY to Reagan who turns 12 today!
August 21st
Our scrimmage today was cancelled due to heavy rain and
lightning.
We have our regular training this week, and a 2nd scrimmage game
Saturday
the 28th. Please try and keep next Sunday afternoon (29th) open
for
a 3rd and final scrimmage before our Labor Day tournament.
August 19th
The Heat opened the pre-season with a 1-5 loss to CFU231, a Region
Cup Final Four team. Reagan scored our lone goal, and the team
got
solid keeper play from both Allison and Shelby. Next up is FTS231
this Saturday at 4pm at Red Bug Lake park again.
