September 30th
The schedule for the upcoming Largo Tournament has been posted on the schedule page.  Also, note the "tentative" scrimmages (9th/10th/16th) we are planning as preparation for the tournament.  We are hoping to set up games on at least 2, if not all 3, of these dates.

September 26th
Hopefully, everyone has weathered the storm.  At the Hoch house we lost power for just over 1 hour early Sunday afternoon (not even enough time to get the generator going!)  With the storm quickly exiting the area, we will have an optional practice Monday at the usual time.  Hopefully everyone can make it, as we have a busy weekend ahead with two tough games.  And ...

September 24th (updated)
Tomorrow's 8am game is postponed due to field problems at Central Winds.  This game will likely be re-scheduled as a Wednesday evening game (in lieu of regular training) within the next few weeks.  Also, Monday training at Lake Destiny is cancelled.  Regular training should resume on Wednesday.  Good luck to everyone with the storm...

September 20th
The Heat girls are scheduled to be ball girls at the UCF Women's game vs. Lipscomb at 6:30pm on Thursday, September 30th at the UCF Soccer Complex.  This will be a great way for the girls to get close to the action of some very highly skilled players.  Please mark this date on your calendar.

September 18th
The Heat came to play today!  With inspired play from the whole team, the Heat earned a convincing 4-0 win over Rockledge.  Shelby started the scoring with a nice shot into the lower right corner.  Annalisa followed with a spinning shot the keeper couldn't handle, assisted by Taylor.  Meagan then closed out the game with two nice goals in the 2nd half.  The second of these was a great solo effort to beat two defenders and the keeper.  Choosing captains for the next game was difficult.  But, the honors go to Meagan (2 goals), Annalisa (1 goal, and great distribution at center forward), and Patricia (shutout at keeper in her first game).  Honorable mentions go to Natalie for a fantastic game (again!) at sweeper, and Shelby.  Next up is CFU, one of the top teams in our league.

September 14th

September 13th
ALTERNATE ROUTE to Lake Destiny field.   Attention:  There will be construction occurring on westbound Maitland Blvd for the next two weeks to fix a sink hole.  Click here for an alternate route to Lake Destiny.   For those of you coming south on 17-92, continue past Maitland Blvd about 1 mile, turn right on Lake Ave (if you go under the train tracks, you've gone too far).  Take Lake Ave directly to Lake Destiny Dr (immediately after going under I-4) and turn right.  Follow to field.

September 12th
Just a reminder that tomorrow, and ALL future Mon/Wed training sessions will now be held at the Lake Destiny field.   See you all there.

September 11th
The Heat opened the regular season with 0-1 loss against Seminole.  The team played well in spurts, but had trouble generating an offensive attack, especially in the 2nd half.  Allison again played well in goal.  Patricia and Caroline earned captains bands for next game.  We'll be scrimmaging tomorrow at Lake Sylvan at 3pm.  Check the schedule page for snack/drink information.

September 9th
Our regular season game this Saturday in Merritt Island has been postponed due to the CBS team being impacted by the hurricane.  It will be re-sheduled for later in the season.  Instead, we will be playing Seminole at Red Bug on Saturday (11am) in an official game, and having a scrimmage Sunday (3pm).  Check the schedule page for times, fields, and snack/drink information.

September 6th
The schedule is now posted.  And there are directions to all our away games.  The 1st league game is this Saturday at 4pm in Merritt Island.  Since that area was hard hit by Frances, we'll verify this game before the weekend.

September 3rd
Hopefully everyone has finished their hurricane preparation and is patiently awaiting the storm that doesn't seem to want to get here.  Torrential rains are expected with this storm which will likely impact next week's training schedule.  Please check the website and email (assuming you have power) for updates.  Good luck to everyone.
